Purpose
Spira Magazine is an independent digital publication designed to spread the idea that the humanities and STEM fields do not oppose, but instead rely on each other. Art and literature provides science with the necessary frameworks to build ethical tech, experiment and innovate with a moral compass, and be able to communicate with the general population about scientific discoveries and concepts. The humanities relies on STEM too, for new tools, evidence, and ideas, providing humanity the resources to be able to analyze the past and bring about future storytelling. We believe that bridging the gap between these fields is the key to solving global human issues.Every few months, we hope to release curated issues surrounding a specific theme in which varying interpretation is welcome, and we encourage a variety of writers, artists, and science enthusiasts to submit their awesome work.
